Is Iran Elections A Scam

With so much hostility built up over the recent years between the United States and Iran, it seemed to slowly be shifting Tide's soon after President Obama took office. Unlike our OLD President Bush, (thank God that's over) our New President Obama took the high road and offered to start new talks with the Iranian Government which has not happened for 30 years. Personally, I have rarely cared about other Nations Elections, but this one was different.

The stakes were extremely high and listening to some of the crap that has come out of Ahmadinejad mouth and the hard line he seems to want to draw with the United States and in particular, Israel, I have been more then interested to see if anyone would (could) gain enough momentum during this Election to give Ahmadinejad a run for his money for the New President of Iran. If these election numbers are true, then one would have to assume that over 66% of the People of Iran who voted, support Ahmadinejad's hard line stance he has taken towards the World in General.

As the Iran Election was winding down to the last two weeks, Mir-Hossein Mousavi campaign really started to pick up a lot of momentum namely because his campaign was smart enough to use Modern Technology to spread his message faster then any other election this World has ever seen. Mousavi campaign organizers had several websites set up for his growing supporters that wants CHANGE and is tired of being cut off by most of the World. On top of wide spread Internet coverage, Mousavi's growing Army of supporters were texting back and forth in record numbers as we'll as using Twitter to keep in touch of any new developments. Within the last few days leading up to the Iran Election, Mousavi looked to have enough support to topple Ahmadinejad and his crazy ideas that cannot possibly be helping the average Iranian Citizen.

A Greater Power Controls the President of Iran and it's People?

As the election was nearing and clear evidence Mousavi had a chance to make this a very tight race, this Great Power seemed to have stepped in and try to slow down Mousavi momentum by first cutting off text messaging throughout Iran and later closed down or disrupted many of his campaign websites. Obviously this tactic didn't work and only started to raise questions of fraud before the Iranian People even had a chance to vote. Not only did this so-called Great Power totally screw up before the elections even began, they then decided to give an overwhelming majority of the votes to Ahmadinejad to make him a clear winner in what was forecasted to be a close race.

Had they decided to make this election a lot closer then GIVING Ahmadinejad a laughable 2 to 1 majority win, I think the majority of the Iranian People would still be upset knowing they will have to deal with this hard line Government for atleast another 4 years and wouldn't have the ammunition (or the evidence) they now have that their very own Government has tried to scam all the People of Iran. At the very least they should of counted the ballots correctly in Mousavi own home town where he clearly was favored to win. But No, this Great Power of a select few NON ELECTED OFFICIALS decided it best that he even lost the election there. Is Iran now started down the path of Dictatorship? Right in front of every citizen that THOUGHT their voice was being heard and their vote would count, the Iranian People now have to cope with the fact that their very own Government may have scammed them and stole the Presidency of Iran.

I could not even imagine if something like that happened here in the United States. People would DEMAND CHANGE and would GET IT or risk our entire Freedom of being controlled by a Government that would not have it's People in it's best interest.

Reports are now coming in that the Government of Iran has now cut off All outside media and effectively have shut down most of the Internet connections for fear of the more news leaking out as the protesters continue to grow in size.

Mousavi is still getting messages out using Twitter to stay in touch with his supports. Mousavi's Twitter Page is http://twitter.com/mousavi1388. Because the Government has shut down most of Mousavi websites, he has now started a new website on Google Sites to continue getting his message heard. The Iran Government has no effective means to control Google's content.
Mousavi new website is at http://sites.google.com/site/mousavi1388

Hopefully something good will come out of this and the voice of the Iranian People will be heard. If they really want to be cut off from most of the outside World from the sanctions that are in place, so be it. BUT if the will of the People want change, then hopefully this Election Scam will be enough for them to unite and stand up to the Government ( Higher Power) and DEMAND That Their Voice be heard.
