Each plays a role to eventually take over your Identity and/or get you to send them large sums of Money with promises of Huge Payouts (usually in the Millions) once you take the bait.

Most web user's are already familiar with the Nigerian Scam emails that have been making their rounds on the Internet for several years and still seem to be working from the amount of these scam emails still being sent. There is an estimated 200,000 Internet Gang Members in Nigeria alone.

In fact there seems to be a new one coming out almost daily.
